What they rarely encounter is someone who started exactly where they are and made it out. Michael Anthony was a high school dropout with a learning disability, raised in poverty and chaos. His best friends ended up in prison. He understands the pressure Austin students face because he lived it, and that authenticity is something young people recognize immediately. Austin's rapid growth has created a unique environment for teenagers. The tech industry culture brings families with high expectations, while rising costs have pushed many long time residents to the edges of the metro. Students in Pflugerville and Manor face different pressures than those in Westlake, but all of them are navigating questions about identity and future in a city that moves fast. Michael's message resonates because he does not lecture from a position of privilege. He shares the specific strategies that helped him overcome trauma, failure, and self doubt. When students at Anderson High or Cedar Ridge hear his story, they see proof that transformation is possible. Whether speaking to student athletes at Lake Travis or at risk youth in alternative education programs, Michael tailors his presentation to the specific audience. His message of personal responsibility and becoming the hero of your own story gives Austin students a framework they can actually use, not just another motivational speech they will forget by lunch. ## Assembly Topics for Austin Schools Presentations designed for high school students that create lasting impact. ### Standing Out in a City of Change Austin is transforming rapidly, and students feel the pressure to keep up. Michael shows young people how to find their own identity amid constant change and resist the urge to become someone they are not. ### Keep Austin Weird, Keep You Real In a city that celebrates uniqueness, students still struggle with authenticity. Michael cuts through the performative quirkiness to discuss what it really means to be yourself when everyone is watching. ### Tech Money, Real Problems Economic disparity in Austin creates invisible pressures. Students at Round Rock schools feel different than those in East Austin, but pain does not discriminate. Michael addresses struggles that money cannot fix. ### From Dropout to Different Not everyone follows the traditional path, and that is okay. Michael shows Austin students that alternative routes to success are valid, using his own dropout to success story as proof. ## What Happens After Michael Speaks 1 Students approach counselors to talk about struggles they have been hiding 2 Conversations shift from blame to personal responsibility 3 Athletes and leaders take on mentorship roles with younger students 4 Teachers report students referencing the assembly weeks later ## Trusted by Austin Schools Michael has spoken at schools and educational events across the country, connecting with students through his authentic story of transformation. He was a high school dropout with a learning disability, raised in foster care and homelessness. His mother was an addict. His best friends went to prison. By every measure, the odds were stacked against him. Instead of becoming a statistic, Michael rebuilt his life from rock bottom. He went on to generate over $7 million in sales at a Fortune 10 company, wrote a bestselling book, built a podcast with over 5 million downloads, and won Grant Cardone's National Speak-Off in front of 10,000 people. Today, Michael speaks to students because he knows what it feels like to be written off. He does not offer empty inspiration. He delivers a roadmap for transformation that he tested on himself first. Austin students deserve to hear from someone who proves that where you start does not determine where you finish. ## How to Book Michael for Your Austin School 1 ### Submit Inquiry Fill out the form below with your school's details, preferred dates, and event type. 2 ### Discovery Call We'll schedule a brief call to understand your students' needs and customize the presentation. 3 ### Confirm & Prepare Lock in your date, receive pre-event materials, and prepare for an impactful assembly. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### How much does a high school motivational speaker cost in Austin? ### How long is a typical high school assembly presentation? ### Is Michael's content appropriate for all grade levels? ### Can Michael speak to specific student groups like athletes or at risk youth? ### How far in advance should we book a speaker for our Austin school? ## High School Motivational Speaker in Austin, TX Ready to give your students a message they will actually remember?
